A special message from the Commodore

After 2 incidents on the jetty on Commodores Day last Sunday I think it is important to advise all sailors that they should exercise caution when they are approaching the jetty at a speed which could be considered “fast”. Under no circumstances should a cadet be asked to catch the boat and should be warned to keep clear, if possible. We hate to be killjoys, but the committee have decided that cadets should not be swimming off the jetty until sailing is finished and the safety boats are ashore.

Regards,
Nigel Manning
