The Week Ahead 15th – 21st October

NOTICE BOARD…

Restart a Heart Training – This Thursday – 18th October
Summercare is hosting ‘Restart a Heart’ training session this Thursday at 19:00. Linda McKay (AYC Commodore, who works at Summercare) has invited TEYC along should we wish to attend.

The course is open to all, whether you’re new to CPR techniques or would like a refresher having attended a previous First Aid course. The training is FREE and should last around 45 minutes – so plenty of time to pop down to The TEYC for a drink afterwards!

It will be held at the following address:
Summercare
38-40 Ceylon Road,
Westcliff-On-Sea
SS0 7HP

There are 8 places available on a first come first served basis. To reserve a place, please contact Paul Hunt (see TheWeekAhead email for his contact details).

TEYC Laying-up Supper – Next Week – Saturday 27th October
The format for this will be the same as the Fitting Out Supper with food being supplied by Affinity Restaurant of Leigh. It will be a 3 course meal followed by coffee. Musician Gary Oliver will be there to entertain us (with maybe a little dancing) after the meal. Talking of entertainment, the dress code for this meal is “Posh Frocks” and the Vice Commodore and Mark Allinson have promised to come along in Posh Frocks!

Please make your choice of starter, main and dessert from the flyer and email Ruth Lowden by Wednesday 24th October (see TheWeekAhead email for her address). Ruth will then come back to you with a reference number and instructions how to pay.

The cut off numbers for this will be 40, so do not delay as the Fitting Out Supper sold quickly and 40 WILL be the max.

Cabaret Sauvignon – Saturday 24th November – Selling Fast!
Following on from the sell out success of last years show, the girls are back by popular demand with a new range of Cabaret acts to entertain and titillate us. Tickets are selling well for this event but we really need people to come back with numbers as soon as possible to help us make arrangements with seating plans etc etc.

Full details can be found the flyer. Tickets can be reserved now by emailing Julie (see TheWeekAhead email for her address) – book early to avoid disappointment!
