The Week Ahead 3rd – 9th September

TEYC Annual Curry Buffet – Saturday 8th September
A message from The Commodore
The TEYC annual curry buffet is coming up this weekend – Saturday 8th September – and I need to finalise numbers by Wednesday (5/9) so please come back to me ASAP to reserve your places (see TheWeekAhead email for my address). Re-payment: could you please bring cash on the night rather than a bank transfer as the restaurant want cash on delivery.  Just to remind you the cost is £10.95 and £6.95 for under 15’s. The bar will be open from 19.15 and the meal will be delivered at approx 20.00.

Locking boats on the jetty
Following work by a small but dedicated team over the weekend, all boats now have a suitably placed mooring ring or similar strong point for locking to.  After the incident of a couple of weeks ago in which the police became involved, all members who have a boat on the jetty are now required to ensure that their boat is securely padlocked.  The deadline for this is this weekend – 8th/9th September.  Any boats not secured by then will be made secure by the club and the owner will be charged for the padlock and cable plus an admin fee.  Please take responsibility for securing your boat.

Cabaret Sauvignon – Saturday 24th November
Following the runaway success of last year’s event, Cabaret Sauvignon will once again be appearing at The TEYC on Saturday 24th November – see the flyer for all the details.
Tickets can be reserves now by emailing Julie (see TheWeekAhead email for her address) book early to avoid disappointment.
