Members welcome evening and talk by Round the World Clipper Race Winner Chris Brooks
Local sailor and AYC member Chris Brooks recently won the Derek Howlett cup here at the club. But that is not his only winning accolade this year. He’s also won the Clipper Round the World yacht race on Qingdao. The race is over 40,000 nautical miles and includes 6 ocean crossings over 8 legs. On Friday 18th November in conjunction with the members welcome evening he is coming to the club to collect the Derek Howlett cup and give a presentation on the Clipper race. All members, old and new, welcome to attend for what will be a very interesting talk.
