Cadet Night Details:

The next cadet night is on the 3rd February where we will be making steam boats and racing them. If you look on You Tube at how to make a steamboat you will see what you will be making.  You need to bring an empty 250ml juice carton for the hull of the boat or something a similar width to fit in a canal made from household guttering. I will provide the boilers for the boats but if you have an idea how you want your boat to look bring the materials you require. You will have half an hour to make the boat. We will then race them on the guttering canal.

All club members who would like to build their own steam boat at home and join the racing are welcome to do so, racing starts at 7.30. You don’t have to be a kid to join in.

In regards to training, we will be looking at launching and landing with different wind directions and tides.

Upstairs on the mezzanine floor Roy and Jessica will be running the first older cadet/ adult session.  If you have never sailed or want some pointers on how to do something, then come along and they will endeavour to pass on their expertise. The bar will be open.  If 6.30 is a bit early, you are welcome to bring a takeaway along for dinner.
