Saturday 17th – Sunday 18th June
We have been invited to go up river (19 nautical miles) to visit and camp for the night with our friends at Thurrock Yacht Club (otherwise known as Grays to Land Lubbers) AND they will host a welcome BBQ as well as an RNLI fundraising quiz night. This would be a big stretch for a fleet of little dinghies so we’ve decided that there will be three ribs going and possibly two cruisers … definitely a chance to see the QE2 bridge from underneath on the Sunday, Tilbury and Port of Dubai Docks on the way up as well as old forts and large ships up close (ahem – not too close).

ALSO – any landlubbers can drive to Grays and meet us at the club if they so desire!! So good fun can be had by all.

Anyone interested either e-mail me (see the recent club email for my email address), or talk to me during the ‘at home’ on Friday, or turn up for the discussion / briefing after the family day (6pm) this Saturday coming.
With best wishes and a fair wind…

Let’s show the others that we are a warm and welcoming club that is passionate about sailing and water activities.
