Poppies for the Pier
*** Last 5 Days***
As a tribute for Remembrance Day, from 5 to 16 November 2025 Southend Pier hopes be transformed with a massive 1.33 mile yarn bomb display of knitted and crocheted red poppies.
This sounds like a great project so please help TEYC contribute a whole dinghy full of poppies! There will be a collection point at the club so please get your yarn, needles and hooks out, come down knit/crochet and natter at the bar or just drop a poppy (or 10) in when you are passing. We’ll take all the poppies collected to the Pier no later than 20th September for inclusion in the display.
