NOTICE BOARD
Commodore’s Day – this Saturday 22nd July
Being Commodore of a Yacht Club isn’t all about drinking G&Ts on the decks of billionaire’s superyachts – there’s actually a fair bit of hard work and dedication involved too. Each year the TEYC holds a Commodore’s Day. It’s your chance to show your appreciation for The Commodore and to join other members in an afternoon of light-hearted water based activities.
This year Commodore’s day is on Saturday 22nd July. All Members and Cadets are invited to join the fun on the water. There will be RIB rides, donut rides, “try a different boat”, Canoe and SUP racing, jumping off the jetty, swimming and the infamous TEYC Commodore’s Soaking Sail-past.
Please bring along any water sports equipment you may have: paddle boards, canoes and windsurfers are all welcome. Bring your wet kit and your most powerful water pistol.
Muster time is 13:00 with high tide at 16:10
Refreshments will be served after sailing, and of course the bar will be very open.
The Great TEYC Bake-Off
All members are invited to put their baking skills to the test in the traditional Commodore’s Day Bake-Off. If you can, please bring along a cake on the day to be shared with everybody. There will be a prize for the best bake as judged by The Commodore.

Island Yacht Camp Canvey
We are a matter of weeks away from our second annual camp out of the year at the Island Yacht Camp Canvey. The usual format of sail over, set up base, camp out etc and sundowner fire-pit on the beach with tunes.
Dates of this event is Sat/Sun 18th/19th August
We’d like to start getting an idea of numbers as we will need to advise our hosts of how many of us there are, so if you are hoping to come please let Paul Hunt or Cheryl Wright know – and if you are intending to sail or looking for a crewing opportunity.
Thank you
