THURSDAY:
20:00: Bar open run by The Commodore.
Beer of the week is Checkpoint Charlie 4.0% – A blonde ale with 4 Malt brew with 3 hop varieties from the USA and Germany.

FRIDAY:
20:00: Bar open run by Annette & Neil Charnock

SATURDAY:
11:00: Race Officers’ Trophy

High Water: 12:19 / Height: 5.7
Weather permitting, there will be a cadet course for the race
13:00: Fun and Games
Please bring buckets and spades, the bigger the bucket the better!  Also clothes and shoes suitable for being on the beach / mud. Fun Sail after the race – until we run out of tide
Beach games:
· Giant Sandcastles
· Rounders on the mud
· Others TBA
16:00: Summer BBQ
We will be having a BBQ on the jetty after the sailing, games etc. etc. We aim to start @ approx. 16.00 and it will be very relaxed i.e. no dressing up or any of that palaver. If you would like to come along please email the Commodre by this Thursday at the very latest (see latest WeekAhead Email for address). The cost will be a miserly £4 (£2 under 12’s). Please advise if you require a vegetarian meal.

SPECIAL NOTICE:
There will be no launching of boats between 11:00 and approximately 12:30 on Saturday due to the Southend Great Pier Swim taking place.
This will not affect the Race Officers’ Trophy.

Meet at the jetty and all sail out to the Ray bank on the outgoing tide where we will spend the day playing different games both on and off the water, a great day for everyone to attend.  It should be noted any cadets wishing to attend need to have a parent / guardian come out on the Ray as well. Full details and timing to be confirmed next week.
