Dear Fellow Sailing Clubs,

As you may already be aware we are in the very sad process of closing down Weir Wood SC. As part of that process, we need to sell off all club assets.

We have given our club members first option to purchase any boats, ribs or equipment. We have asked members to express their interest by Friday 15th November. Thereafter, we welcome other sailing organisations and their members the opportunity to purchase our assets and help us fund our outstanding legal costs.

Please see the pdf lists bellow of items available, we ask that you share this with your members and club officials, if you have an interest in any items, please contact us at media@wwsc.org.uk. We will do our best to provide additional info and photographs where possible.

We plan to host a sale day on Saturday 23rd November 10am -3pm. If you require a different date, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate, but time is of the essence as we will need to vacate the site in coming days.

Boats have been priced at the market value less approx. 20%, we hope this enticing all those who are interested to purchase boats from Weir Wood Sailing Club. All proceeds from the sales will be used to pay WWSC legal costs, in the unlikely situation there is anything leftover this will be donated to the RNLI.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the sailing community for the support and heartfelt messages, as I am sure you understand, this has been an extremely upsetting time for all involved.

Best regards
WWSC Main Committee

🎄 TEYC Christmas Lunch🎄

We’re excited to announce the 2024 TEYC Members’ Christmas Lunch on Sunday 15 December.

Join us for an afternoon with great company, holiday cheer, and a delicious menu that includes cider-pulled-pork, salmon, an actual Australian pavlova, and more Christmas treats.

We are still finalizing pricing, but we’re aiming to keep it to no more than £15 per adult, and £7.50 per cadet, and free for junior cadets and ducklings.

To help us get an idea of numbers, we are asking for expressions of interest. If you’d like to join us for this festive celebration, please email TEYC. Membership (see theweekahead email for the email address) with the number of attendees by Friday 22 November. We can then confirm pricing, and dietary requirements.
