Knot Night rescheduled for this Friday !
Not sure which knot? Learn to separate your Sheetbend from your Sheepshank. Find out when to use a Round turn and two half hitches and when a clovehitch is best. This Friday evening from 7pm we have Bernie from Thurrock Yacht Club for an evening of knots. Ideal for cadets and adults to improve their knot knowledge. Knot to be missed !
Sunday from 13:00 it’s the Racing Rules Quiz
We’ve all been out on the water and someone has called ‘water’ or ‘starboard’. Are you unsure if they’re right? Often (s)he who shouts loudest is assumed to be correct. Well don’t fall for it. Come down to the club for a gen up on the latest set of racing rules before testing your knowledge in a Kahoot quiz. A must attend for all racers, cadet, adult, race officer, support boat crew or anyone who feels they just need to know the rules !
