The BBQ is now sold out. If anyone wants to just come and down to see The Daisy Bowlers, please contact The Commodore (see this week’sTheWeekAhead email for his address) for a ticket, which will be priced at only £8. Please feel free to bring friends along.

TUESDAY:

20:00: Bar Open – Run by Neil Woodbridge
Beer of the week is Cockleboats Best Bitter – 4.0% ABV. Deep copper colour, brewed using 5 Malts including some German. Two American hop varieties make this a palate filling session ale.
20:00: Island Yacht Club Cruise Briefing

SATURDAY / SUNDAY:
10:00: Island Yacht Club Cruise
The TEYC have another exciting overnight camping trip planned for cadets and adults alike. The destination is Island Yacht Club on Canvey Island – just over an hour by sail – the trip promises to be a lot of fun with games, a cadet race and an evening BBQ, so place this date in your diaries now and spend the night under canvas with us at ‘Camp TEYC’. Non-sailors are welcome to come and join us by car.
The IYC clubhouse will be open on the Saturday until 11pm, with the Galley Open until 3pm. The clubhouse will open again for breakfasts at 9am Sunday. The theme for this trip will follow similar lines to the recent Benfleet trip and usual there will be a safety briefing and RIB cover for the journey.
Details and timings:
- Muster on TEYC Jetty at 10:00
- Prepare boats take briefing
- Sail to IYC at 12:15
- Arrive IYC approx. 13:15 -13:45
- Have lunch or picnic (Galley open until 15:00)
- Set up ‘Camp TEYC’
- Games
- BBQ in the evening
- Set sail back to TEYC Sunday afternoon between 13:00 – 15:00
- Arrive TEYC approx. 14:00pm – 16:30

13:00 – 16:00: Bar open

- 16.00 bar opens
- 17.45 onwards the BBQ will be served.
- 19.30 The Daisy Bowlers will start and will play for approx 50 mins and then take a 15 min break and then play for another 50 mins.
- The bar will be open throughout the proceedings.
