The Week Ahead 29th May – 3rd June

NOTICE BOARD…

A message from The Commodore
Another fantastic TEYC Cadet Regatta comes to a close after being blessed by perfect conditions. It was a magnificent effort from so many members to make it such a success from feeding everyone, ensuring everyone was safe, instructing the cadets, providing liquid refreshments etc etc. We also gained new members which was a bonus. I would like to say a big huge massive thank you to all who helped to make it such a success.

08:00: Cruise to Queenborough
Following the success of last year’s trip, we have another cruise to Queenborough planned as follows:

  • Muster on the jetty at 8:00 – 08:30
  • Ready the boats and set off from the jetty at 10:00 on the outgoing tide
  • Sail to Queenborough – taking in the views of the River Medway
  • Relax and have lunch at the Flying Dutchman public house (they serve good meals)
  • Sail back on the next tide leaving at around 15:30 – 16:00 for an arrival back at The TEYC somewhere between 17:30 – 19:00 (depending on wind direction)

Last year we made the return trip in a little over 1.5 hrs due to a healthy breeze on the beam! There will be a safety briefing in the clubhouse before we set off, and safety boat cover for the day. These events are great fun, so do please put the date in your diaries and come and join us. We hope this year we will have an even bigger Kentish Coast raiding party. Our friends from the AYC will be joining us for the cruise.
