Following the success of last year’s trip, we have another cruise to Queenborough planned as follows:
- Muster on the jetty at 08:00 sharp
- Ready the boats and set off from the jetty at 09:30 – 10:00 on the outgoing tide
- Sail to Queenborough – taking in the views of the River Medway
- Relax and have lunch at the Flying Dutchman public house
- Sail back on the next tide leaving at around 16:00 for an arrival back at The TEYC somewhere between 17:30 – 19:00 (depending on wind direction) The decision of what time to leave Queenborough will be made on the day taking into account weather conditions/wind etc.
Last year we made the return trip in a little over 1.5 hrs due to a healthy breeze on the beam ! There will be a safety briefing in the clubhouse before we set off, and safety boat cover for the day. These events are great fun, so do please put the date in your diaries and come and join us. We hope this year we will have an even bigger Kentish Coast raiding party.
