Bar opening changes for Jan, Feb, March and April 2020
“Due to lack of support for the bar on a Friday night in the winter months it has been decided to only open the bar on the first (cadet nights) and third Fridays during the above months. This is a decision which is taken with great regret but it was felt that it is unfair to expect the volunteer bar stars to give up a Friday night when so few members turn up to support the bar.
We will try and come up with some ideas to entice members down (your suggestions welcome) on a Friday, so watch out on the weekly TWA email for info. I can only echo what every Commodore, Flag Officer and Bar Chair has been saying for a long time, that the bar produces a significant amount of revenue for the club and it is the members interest to support the bar as much as possible.”
