This coming Sunday, is this years Commodores day, a chance for the membership to come together and show their appreciation for all of the Commodores hard work over the year.
Well, thats the official story, the unofficial story is that the Commodores day, is a great chance to enjoy a day on the water, take part in the traditional sail past, soak the Commodore with as much water as is physically possible, and enjoy a cheeky cake, all courtesy of the Commodore and TEYC.
Added to this , the club will be challenging the quick (the cadets) to race the dead (the older and wiser) in this year’s QvD face off. Racing will be in a relay style over a short course in two of the clubs toppers. Guaranteed good fun, and normally subject to suspension of usual racing rules (or for that matter any rules!!!).
QvD will take place around 14:30, followed up by the commodores sail past and cake.
The weather looks good, and this will be a great day on the water so we look forwards to seeing you there.
Please also note the bar will also be open this Saturday afternoon!
